Meet the Highrock Youth Leaders

Jeremy St. Cyr – Middle School Guys Leader and also helps with High School

Jeremy lives in Arlington Heights and has been part of the Highrock community for the last 3 years. He was born in Boston but grew up on the southern Maine Coast. He has been married to Jocelyn (a New Yorker) for a little over two years. He graduated from Gordon College with a degree in biblical studies and sociology (gender studies and race relations.). He became a Christian by way of his involvement in Christian camps as a child and later went on to counsel and direct/pastor at the same camp he became a Christian at.  He never had much of a youth group as a teen and wants to make sure Highrock has a great group for the teens we have. He works at a youth detention center and has likely worked with kids you hear about in the news. He once had a job that involved dressing up as Splash the Dolphin and daily dancing a conga line in front of hotel guests.

Will Lin – Middle School Guys Leader and also helps with High School

Will started out attending the youth ministry services on Sunday in high school because he would rather go there than sit with his parents in the main service.  What he wasn't expecting was that the gospel presentations and sermons aimed at the youth would change his heart and he would come to Christ towards the end of high school.  In college he felt it important to continue working with youth as that was such a big part of how he came to know Christ.  Will is now working for Cavium Networks in Marlborough and enjoys experimenting with cooking and playing ultimate frisbee with coworkers.

Jill Lim – High School Girls Leader

High school was a critical and pivotal time in Jill's life.  Amidst the strong social and cultural pressures of her teen years, Jill realized her need for grace as she discovered a friendship with God through Young Life and her youth group.  This relationship, helped along especially through leaders and friends at youth group, was freeing and changed the trajectory of her life.  Jill is excited to be a part of Highrock's youth group and hopes she can similarly build meaningful relationships with these young women.  Jill initially met her husband Jon in 7th grade, and they now have three sons, Noah (5), Justin (3), and Zachary (1).  Jill loves playing sports such as soccer, and enjoys many outdoors activities such as hiking and kayaking.

Jon Lim – High School Guys Leader

Jon experienced both valleys and mountain tops during his teenage years, and is ultimately grateful for both.  The foundation of his Christian faith and broader worldview was laid during this time, and he credits relationships with his youth group pastors and peers as playing a significant role in that formation.  Jon was an active student leader in both his youth group and Young Life, interned as a youth pastor during college, and together with his wife, Jill, is excited to regularly be with Highrock's youth.  Jon loves to fish with his three sons (Noah, 5; Justin, 3; Zachary, 1), play all types of sports, and live a life of adventure.

Susan Lee – Highrock Youth Intern; works with Middle and High School girls

Susan is a Korean-American who likes to call Seoul, Baltimore and Boston home.  She is an M.Div. student at Gordon-Conwell and hopes to work with Arab and Arab-American students someday.  Susan enjoyed growing up in Korean church youth group and loved her youth leaders and pastors.  She continued growing through her multi-ethnic college fellowship.  Susan now spends her summers working with youth in Korea and looks forward to doing youth ministry at Highrock.  She has an older sister in Baltimore and they like to visit their parents in Seoul and eat dukbokki (spicy rice cakes) together.

Heather – Middle School Girls Leaders and helps with High School

Heather was a fairly quiet teen whose main interest was studying constantly.  She enjoyed being involved with her youth group, but her faith did not really become solidified until later.  She broke out of her shell in college, but also broke away from God.  Eventually some of her bad choices caught up with her and despite having a great education and her dream job as a biology teacher at Brookline High School, Heather realized she longed for a real relationship with God.  Shortly thereafter, Heather recommitted to pursuing Christ, started serving as a youth leader and met Brian.  Heather longs to help girls get a solid grounding in Christ early in their life and is especially delighted to be at home with her own girls, Abby (4) and Lydia (1).  When Heather is not ru nning around with the youth group or running after her girls she loves looking for a bargain at a garage sale, watching a good movie, or going out to dinner at the Cheesecake Factory with Brian.

 Brian Dietz – Youth Pastor

Brian has been working with teens ever since he became a Christian in high school and quickly started serving as a student leader in his youth group.  His love for youth ministry grew out of having a number of key friends and youth leaders who introduced him to Christ in 9th grade at a point in life when he was really struggling to find any peace.  Brian met his wife Heather when she came on as a volunteer when he was just starting his first full-time youth ministry position about 8 years ago.  They have two daughters, Abigail (4) and Lydia (almost 2), and are expecting another one in April.  Brian loves playing just about any type of game or sport and is particularly crazy about ultimate frisbee!!
