Depending on what you are looking for, there are two types of groups you can join: Connection Groups (short-term) and Covenant Groups (long-term). You can join either of these types of groups, or both!

Covenant Groups

A covenant group is a long-term group (typically one year) which is designed to deepen relationships with a group of people over the course of a longer period of time. Members of these groups do more life together and commit to a covenant of loving God and one another in a more intentional way.

Connection Groups

A connection group is a short-term group and is a great opportunity to meet new people and participate in a shared activity such as a Bible study or common interest such as watching football or running. We especially encourage anyone who is new to Highrock to check out one of these groups. This semester we are launching a special seven week intergenerational connection group called First Steps to Fellowship which will be led by seven of the pastors at Highrock. Together we discuss the sermon topic, learn more about the culture and values of our church, and share a meal together. Free childcare is provided.

Where can I find small group study resource suggestions?

One great resource for small groups is our weekly sermon question list which you can find in the Small Group Resources Group** located on Cobblestone . New questions based on the sermon are uploaded every Sunday. Here you will also find a list of study materials, books, and other resources which Highrockers have found helpful to use in a small group context. Feel free to comment on these resources - whether you have found them helpful or not - or share a resource of your own!

This is a tough one! Although they are bundles of joy, having children present in a small group setting can be a challenge. Click here to read some models that have worked for Highrockers in the past.
