Birth through 5th Grade

Highrock Kids! cares for the most important members of our church – the children. Our mission is to shepherd children in connecting to God personally, connecting to God’s people and connecting to God’s purposes by teaching and modeling a Christ-centered life that is empowered by the Holy Spirit. On Sunday mornings, we have exciting, kid-targeted programs for infants through 5th grade during both the 9:00AM and 10:45AM services (4th/5th grade meet only during the 10:45 service). We also host a variety of special children's events during the year like Highrock Kids' Summer Blast and the Children's Christmas Choir. We hope you'll join us!

Our Sunday School classes are staffed with loving and nurturing volunteers whose primary purpose is to love and shepherd our children.  We teach age-appropriate Biblical truths in creative and fun ways. Our curriculum is called the Praise Factory which focuses on 16 foundational faith questions that are taught starting at 2 years old all the way through 5th grade.  As students progress through their years in Highrock Kids they are given the chance to explore these questions on deeper and deeper levels in hopes that they will discover their own relationship with Christ and learn how to follow, serve and love God.

Our classes are open for drop-off starting at 8:45 AM and 10:30 AM. Parents/Guardians may pick up their children immediately following service. Paging is also available for infants through age four.

6th through 12th Grade

On Sundays we encourage our teens to serve in the Children's Ministry or on a SoulFood team and many are doing that which is outstanding.  We also want teens to be a part of the entire worship service so they can connect with the whole church.

To help our middle school students make the transition in to the sanctuary we offer a three week class in the Fall called "The Church" that prepares them to understand and engage in worship with the whole body of Christ each week.  We follow up that class by meeting on the second Sunday of each month during the 10:45am service to further guide them in the transition of understanding their role in the larger congregation.

For high school students we have a four week class in the Fall that focuses on the value of studying and living scripture.  And starting in February, there is a 13 week class called "Finding Ourselves in His Story" that highlights the major themes of church history, theology and spiritual formation in preparation for confirmation or baptism, though some students take the class simply to grow in their faith.
