Greenhouse
Greenhouse is Highrock's new adult Christian education program and is the forum for all of the formal classes that we offer to our congregation. We call it "Greenhouse" because greenhouses are places of intentional and intensive growth – they make things bloom in any climate. And that’s what Greenhouse will be – a place where you can gather together in community at any stage of faith and take classes which are designed to help you achieve extraordinary growth. All Greenhouse classes strive to holistically engage your head, heart, and hands so that you can truly come to love God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength. Below is a basic schema of the Greenhouse program:

Greenhouse Offerings: Spring 2012
Greenhouse 101: (Tentative) The Alpha Course. An opportunity for anyone (Christian or non-Christian) to explore Christianity in a fun and friendly setting. Foundational beliefs and practices of Christianity will be covered and all questions are welcome. Each evening begins with a free dinner and is followed by a presentation and open small group discussion. Date/Time/Location TBD. Facilitator: Mickey Sanchez ( ). Greenhouse 201: Christian Essentials. This class serves as a very brief introduction to the essentials of Christianity, including her historic teachings, beliefs, and practices, so as to inform the mind’s thought, transform the heart’s belief, and form the hand’s actions. In short, the objective of this course is to help us become fully devoted worshipers of Jesus. This class also serves as one of the prerequisites for adult baptism or confirmation at Highrock. Greenhouse 202: Membership Class. Taught by our Lead Pastor Dave Swaim, this two-part membership class is where you learn more about what it means to commit to our community – both our local congregation and our denomination. You will also the opportunity to ask questions and fellowship with other Highrockers. Classes are required for membership. Offered on Saturday morning 2/4, 9:15am-12:15pm. Greenhouse 503: Perspectives on the World Christian Movement. Jesus calls us to be the salt of the earth, but how can we fulfill the purpose that God has for us? The Perspectives Course is an in-depth exploration of world missions and introduces us our place in God's great plan! Through 15 weeks of interactive presentations, guest speakers, readings, and more, you will gain a new understanding and heart for God's Great Commission.
