Family Ministry
The Family Ministry at Highrock is charged with forming families' identity as God's people set up for God's distinctive and joy-filled purposes. We desire our families to be connecting to God personally, to God's people and to God's purposes TOGETHER! In a world that is constantly thwarting families efforts to maintain healthy, God-centered relationships, we are humbly seeking to provide a haven for families to be drawn closer and a vision for families to model Christ to others. This happens on a variety of levels.

Pre-Marital Counseling
We delight in offering counseling to couples who are thinking about marriage or are engaged. It is our desire to commission couples in to the ministry of marriage with a body of believers behind them and a strong understanding of God's vision and purpose for marriage underneath them.
Marriage Enrichment
We are excited to offer both small groups and seminars to support the growth of marriages in our church. We desire to bless marriages with encouragement through community and teaching in order that couples might flourish in representing Christ's love to their spouses and to others.
Family Small Groups
We have a number of small groups that are designed for families. These meet in various homes at various times throughout the week. They study the Bible or Christian books on parenting or marriage.
Cooperative Playgroup
The mission of the Coorperative Playgroup is to provide a place to build community among parents with small children, to engage the children during a time dedicated to parent-child interaction and to provide a supportive environment where children can start to separate from their parents. Playgroup runs on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 9:30-11:30am in the Children's Wing. For more information, see our calendar.
The Family Gathering
These events happen at the beginning of the Fall, Winter and Spring. They are designed to connect new families to small groups ultimately, but also serve as a chance for all families to gather together and connect more. We have dinner, family activities, devotions, worship, some teaching and time to just hang out afterwards.
Special Events
Throughout the year we have various events that are designed to not just help families connect to each other, but to also connect the whole church with one another. The word "intergenerational" is something we value highly at Highrock. Therefore, we have gatherings for boys and men called Extravamanza, gatherings for girls and women called Ladypalooza, Summer Friday Night Fellowship for everyone to eat together and hear a testimony from a couple or family in the church and various other opportunities for people of all ages and lifestages to connect and bless one another as God's people.
