M.A.D.

The Make A Difference (M.A.D.) seeks to motivate and mobilize Highrockers to connect to God's purposes, making a difference in the church, the Arlington community, and around the world.

We do this through

- Forming Christians to pursue God's justice in the world

- Creating opportunities for action on justice, outreach, and missions

- Connecting Highrockers with organizations through which their gifts can be used to make a difference

- Encouraging Highrock and its members to conduct just, simple, and environmentally-sustainable lifestyles

We believe that we ought to become indignant (mad) enough about the evil, suffering, brokenness, and spiritual poverty in our world to do something about it. As Christians, we are called by God to impact the world with the truth of the gospel (Matt. 28:18-20) and the justice of a holy God (Micah 6:8). We are God's hands and feet in the world--called to be his agents of healing and salvation to a hurting world and gifted so that we can make a difference (Matt. 22:36-40, 25, 28:18-20, Acts 1:8, 1 Cor. 12). It is as we connect with God's purposes in the world that we accomplish these things.

Because of these truths, we as M.A.D. are here to challenge, equip, inform, encourage and empower you to make a difference in those ways God has gifted you and in the places to which he has called you—in your lives, in the church, in Arlington, and around the world.

We focus on Highrock's value of pursuing God's purposes in the world and exist to assist the church to strive for that goal.

Current Serving Opportunities

Highrock's Make a Difference Ministry (MAD) is partnering with the Arlington Police to re-open our food pantry to serve the needs of those in Arlington who are going through difficult times. As the hands and feet of Jesus, we hope show Christ's love by helping to meet their physical needs and build meaningful relationships with them.
