Highrock Youth Group
Fridays
The Highrock Youth Group meets on Fridays Nights in the Ministry Center, right beside the main building.
Middle School (6th-8th grade) goes from 6:00pm - 8:15pm. We start with dinner together followed by some games. We then have worship, teaching and small groups.
High School (9th-12th grade) goes from 8:15pm - 10:30pm. We have lots of snacks all throughout the night, hang out and play various games. Our night also includes worship, teaching and small groups as well.
About once a month, we rent out a local gym and enjoy having space to play soccer, dodgeball, basketball and all sorts of other games together.
Sundays
We have various classes for teens throughout the year on Sundays during the 10:45am service.
For Middle School Students we are offering a three week class called The Church that start on September 11th. This class is designed to help students understand their role in the larger body of Christ and prepare them to engage in worship with everyone on Sundays. We will follow up this class by meeting once a month to check in and hear reflections from the students on how they are doing with worshipping and serving at Highrock.
For High School Students we are offering a four week class called Faith Questions that starts on October 23rd. This class will take students questions about life and faith and respond to them with bible study, prayer and additional questions for them to reflect on.
In the Spring we offer a 13 week Confirmation/Baptism class that is designed for 9th graders, but has included all ages of teens in the past. The class concludes with a confirmation/baptism service in May.
In addition to these classes, many of our teens serve in various ministries throughout the church on Sundays including Children's, SoulFood and our Welcoming Ministry.
